Organist and private-music instructor, Martin Jongsma was most recently accepted into the doctoral study program for organ at the University of Toronto under the direction of Kevin Komisaruk. Martin completed a Bachelor of Music degree in 2008, from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, and went on to complete a Master of Music degree in Organ Performance from Mcgill University’s Schulich School of Music in 2011, under the guidance and direction of John Grew. Besides master classes with the internationally acclaimed artists: Michel Bouvard, Barrie Cabena, James David Christie, Sietze de Vries, Ewald Kooiman, William Porter, and Michael Radulescu, Martin was also an active participant in the Haarlem Organ Academy as well as multiple McGill Summer Organ Academies. Martin is an associate of the Royal Canadian College of Organists and regularly accompanies worship services in the Hamilton-area Canadian Reformed Churches.
